Lip Augmentation

Lip Augmentation, also commonly known as Lip Filler or enhancement, is a cosmetic procedure using Dermal Filler made from a naturally occurring product known as Hyaluronic acid.

It is a great option for those wanting to plump, enhance and define their lips without making a permanent change. With this treatment it is possible to achieve the currently popular “full lip” look but can be used more subtly to create a natural and youthful shape when the lip’s own plumpness has diminished. It is also possible to use the filler to create more symmetry as well as increasing volume. Results can last between 6-12 months.

By treating the top and bottom lips a more symmetrical and balanced effect is achieved. Often a slow increase in volume is a good way to achieve the look the client desires. Take a look at the gallery to see examples of individual client’s results. Some requested a fuller, plumper lip shape and others opted for a combination treatment to create a more youthful effect.

Treatment areas available

Essentially treatments involve injecting into the lip with Dermal Filler. However, we can combine a lip treatment with a perioral treatment (smokers lines) to create a more youthful looking mouth area.

Take a look through the gallery to see the differing results based on individual client’s desired effects.

Pre-treatment

A week before treatment, where possible, avoid taking medication that thins the blood: Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Ginseng, Flax oil, Cod liver oil, Vit A, Vit E as these medications may increase the risk of bruising and discolouration. Start taking arnica tablets 2 days prior to appointment (this is not required, but will help to lessen bruising).

Always seek doctors advice before stopping any prescribed medication.

Avoid alcohol 72 hours before treatment.
